Discover has 2FA automatically enabled on their site to make sure it's you performing certain actions. An identification code helps them verify your identity and protect your information.
1. When you log in to Discover online or the Discover app from a new device (or change your profile information) you will be sent an identification code as a text message, phone call, or email to verify your identity.
2. Once you receive the code, you will need to enter it on the Web page or in the app. The identification code is temporary and will expire if you don’t use it within a certain time period. If needed, you can request a new one by clicking the “Get New Code” button.
3. As soon as you submit your code you will be able to access your account and continue with your account usage.
