How to Turn On 2FA for HSBC

Please note: Specific instructions for enabling 2FA are subject to change without notice. Please check with each website or app for the most up-to-date information on this feature.

HSBC offers a "Digital Secure Key" as an option to log in more securely.

1. HSBC’s Digital Secure Key is accessed through the HSBC Mobile Banking app–so there’s no need to carry a physical Secure Key with you.

2. When you set up your Digital Secure Key, you enable two-factor authentication to protect your account. You will choose your own PIN or password to access your Secure Key.

3. A unique code will be generated and displayed on your Secure Key, this should only be seen by you.

4. Once you’ve set it up, just open the HSBC Mobile Banking app, enter your Digital Secure Key password and you’re ready for mobile banking.
