How to Turn On 2FA for Natwest UK

Please note: Specific instructions for enabling 2FA are subject to change without notice. Please check with each website or app for the most up-to-date information on this feature.

Natwest UK issues card readers that generate a simple but unique code that helps to keep your transactions safe. The card reader provides additional security; the reader generates a code when you put in your debit card. The code is unique, and you have to enter it on your computer keyboard, which makes it difficult for criminals to steal money from your account. You will never be asked to use your card reader to log in to Online Banking, and never phoned you to ask for your card reader details.

1. Log in to Online Banking.

2. Choose the “Security” menu.

3. Choose “Enable card reader.”
