How to Turn on 2FA for WeMineLTC

Please note: Specific instructions for enabling 2FA are subject to change without notice. Please check with each website or app for the most up-to-date information on this feature.

You can set up two-factor authentication (2FA) with WeMineLTC.com using Google Authenticator, which is a mobile app available on your smartphone.

1. Download Google Authenticator on your smartphone. Google Authenticator is compatible with your Android, iPhone, or Blackberry.

2. Complete SMS/Voice setup and enroll your account using your phone number.

3. Go to the 2FA settings page for WeMineLTC.com and select Android, iPhone, or Blackberry.

4. Follow the directions for your type of smartphone.

Android

1. Open the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone. If this is the first time you have used Google Authenticator, click the “Add an account” button. If you are adding a new account, choose “Add an account” from the app’s menu.

2. Select “Scan account barcode” if using a QR code. If the Authenticator app cannot locate a barcode scanner app on your phone, you might be prompted to download and install one. If you want to install a barcode scanner app so you can complete the setup process, press “Install,” then go through the installation process. Once the app is installed, reopen Google Authenticator and point your camera at the QR code on your computer screen.

3. Select “Manually add account” if using a secret key.Enter your email address in the box next to “Enter account name.” Next, enter the secret key from your computer screen into the box under “Enter key.”  Make sure you’ve chosen to make the key time-based and press “Save.”

4. Enter the verification code from your smartphone into the box on your computer next to “Code” to test that the application is working. Then, click “Verify.”

5. If your code is correct, you will see a confirmation message. Click “Save” to continue the setup process.If your code is incorrect, try generating a new verification code on your smartphone and then enter it on your computer.

iPhone

1. Open the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone.

2. Tap the plus icon.

3. Tap “Time-Based.”

4. Tap “Scan Barcode if linking your account using a QR code.Point your camera at the QR code on your computer screen.

5. Tap “Manual Entry” if linking your account using a secret key. Enter your email address. Then, enter the secret key from your computer screen into the box next to “Key” and tap “Done.”

6. To test that the application is working, enter the verification code on your smartphone into the box on your computer next to “Code.” Then, click “Verify.” The clock icon on your smartphone will let you know how much time is left before the verification code expires and a new one is generated.

7. If your code is correct, you will see a confirmation message. Click “Save” to confirm. If your code is incorrect, try generating a new verification code on your phone, then entering it on your computer.

Blackberry

1. Open the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone.

2. Open the Google Authenticator app menu and select “Manual key entry.”

3. Enter your email address below “Enter account name.”

4. Enter the secret key from your computer screen next to the “Enter key” and select “Time-Based” from the drop-down menu.

5. Press “Save.”

6. To test that the application is working, enter the verification code from your smartphone into the box on your computer next to “Code.” Then, click “Verify.”
